[225] At a Meeting of the Selectmen at the Houfe of the wido Mary Learned on Tuesday the Ninth Day of march A D. 1762 for puting out the poor They Agreed that m' Joseph Coollidge Should Board Samuel Coollidge at 4/1 pr week and the wido Maddox at 4/1 pr week till further orders -


They agreed with m' Jonas White to keep Joseph Stearnes for the prefent-


They agreed with James Berned to Board mary Coollidg till further orders at 13/6 pence pr week -


And they agreed with m' Simon Coollidge to keep the wido Warrin at Six Shillings & eight pence pr week for the prefent-

Then ye fourth article was Read together with the list of Jurymen and they Voted that mifs' Thomas Saftmarfhs Samuel Hagers & William Godings Names be taken out of the Box's Voted that mifsurs John Sawin David Bemis, James Dix, Simon Whitney, Ebenezer Stone Juner, Thomas Harrington, Edward Richardfon, Jonathan Bemis Jun', & Daniel Bonds be put into the Superior Box And that Mofes Hager, Daniel Edds, Thomas Rufsell, Daniel Byles, Robert Learned, Elifha Learned, John Chenery, James Vila & Jonathan Coollidge Goding be put into the Inferior Box


The fifth article Read but no Conftables made any Pleas for abatements So the article Dropt

They Recd an account of m' Nathaniel Stone for Clothing which he procured for Samuel Coollidge amounting to two pounds two Shillings and Eleven pence three farthings and Signed an order on ye Treafurer for the payment of the Same at this meet- ing Nath11 Coollidge Notify'd the Selectmen that he had Rec'd into his houfe a Negro woman Named Lois Barda. And Mr Nathaniel Stone Informed that he had Taken into his Family the wido Lydia Warrin and that She Came last Fryday and that he will keep her for 6/ pr week for the prefent and m' Jonas Berned

At the Selectmens Meeting on the 8 day of July AD. 1762 Mifsurs Jonathan Child & Nathaniel Stone made Verbal Re- port that they had Meet with the Select-men of ye adjacent towns and Renew'd the Bounds betwen Watertown and the adjacent towns


[231] At a Meeting of the Selectmen of Watertown Weston & Waltham at the Houfe of m' Richard Cutting in Waltham on the 31st Day of august AD 1762 The Accounts of ye Charge of ye Great Bridge over Charles River in Watertown Since the last Adjustments were this Day Proportioned and Ad- justed Betwen the three Towns See the acctts. at Large Signed By ye Selectmen of Each town Entered Lib : 2 Page (63) in the Treafury -

(1) To Choofe a Moderator for sd Meeting (2) To hear what has been done Relating to ye Charge which has arifen to the Town by Jonas Learned wife and Children and for ye Town to act any thing on the affair they may think proper (3) Upon the Request of Capt John Brown to know whether the town will allow him Interest for the money which is due to him for his Pew from ye time he offer'd it to the town and for the Town to Act any thing on the affair they think proper (4) To know whether the Town will abate any Perticuler Perfons Rates in any of ye Late Conftables lists and to act any thing on ye affair they may think Proper-


(5) To know whether the Town will allow any of ye Late Conftables any pay for their Services who have not Received any thing there for (6) To know the minde of ye Town whether they will Sell a Small peice or Slip of Land Near ye wido Murches Houfe which belongs to the town and to act any thing on the affair they may think proper-

Voted and Chofe Jona Brown Moderator for sd Meeting 2 article Read and after Debate thereon the Vote was Put if it be the mind of the Town that If the wido Mary Learned Shall pay one Half of what Charge the town has been at for the Sup- port of Jonas Learneds wife and Children that the Treafurer upon Receipt thereof Shall give her and Thomas Learned a Dif- charge in full for the time past and it past in the affirmative -- Put to Vote whether it be the minde of the town to allow Capt. John Brown Intereft on the money that is Due to him for his pew and it past in the affirmative


The 4 article was Read but none of the Conftables ask't to have any perfons Rates abated and So it Dropt

[234] At a Meeting of the Selectmen at the Houfe of ye wido Mary Learned on the : 17 : Day January AD 1763- They Signed on Order on the Town Treafurer to pay the Revd Mr Seth Storer : 66 : 13 : 4 which was Greanted for his Sallary for the Year 1762- They being informed that m' Jonas Harrington Jun' of Wefton was not paid for ye Plank which he had given


brought to the great Bridge for which they A an order on the Selectmen of Wefton they Signed an order on the Treafurer to pay said Harrington the Sum of 5 : 9 : 5 which is in full of what is due to him They alfo Signed an order to pay mr Marfhall Spring our Prefent Schoolmafter the Sum of Sixteen Pounds in part of his wages for Keeping School in Watertown- At a Meeting of the Selectmen at ye Houfe of the wido Mary Learned on Monday the 21 day of Febry Anno Domini 1763 They ware Informed that there was one George Allen and Hannah his wife & their two Children (Viz) George and Abigail who Came last from Waltham about the month of may last and
