(1) To Chcofe a moderator (2) To Choofe a Constable or Col- lector if they See fitt. (3) To hear the Report of the School Committee and make Such further Grants to Support the Schools as may be thought proper (4) To take Some Meafures for the Speedy Collecting the Tax's already afsest. At a meeting of the Inhabitants of Watertown who are Quallified according to the Constitution to vote in the Choice of a Repre- fentative held at the Meeting House on monday the 14th day of may 1781. being Regularly Afsembled the Major part of ye Selectmen being Present: Jonathan Brown Esq': was Chosen by the major Part of the Electors to Represent the town ye enfueing year in the General Court to be held at the State House in Boston on the Last Wednesday in the Present month of may &c

At a Publick Town-Meeting of the freeholders and other In- habitants of Watertown Quallified to vote in town affairs Regularly afsembled at the Meeting Houfe on monday the 14th Day of may AD: 1781. They Chofe m': Josiah Bisco Moder- ator of the meeting


Then m" John Cook Prefented a Petition Praying the town to Reconfider their votes Relating to the Placeing the House for the Poor. and after Debate thereon the Question was Put whether they will Reconfider Said Votes & it Pafsed in the Negative


Then they voted to Choofe a Committee to dig the Celler & Stone the Same -


Voted & Chofe for Said Committee-

Voted that the Perfons that Request to have their Tax's abated Procure a list of the Same under the Hand of the Collectors & lay the Same before the town -


Voted that the Treafurer Issue his Executions against Delinquent Collectors in one Month from this time


Voted to Choofe a Committe to Settle with the Revd: mr Eliot - Jona: Brown Esq' m' Mofes Stone
