At this meeting ye Selectmen were Informed that there was one Thaddeus Haftings Come to Dwell in Watertown at ye Houfe of John Kemball who Came last from Lexington in the month of April last past his Circumftances being Such that ye Selectmen Refufe to accept him to be an Inhabitant of Water- town therefore ordered the Clerk to Issue out a warrant to one of the Conftables to warn him out of town which was accord- ingly done and given to Conftable Thomas Harrington who Did the Service and made Return & the Caution was Entered at march Court

The Report of the Committe yt were appointed by the town to Vew and Confider what is proper for the town to do Relating to ye Selling or Difposing of a Small Slip or peice of land Near ye Wido Murches Houfe Report as followith (Viz) that they have attended that Service and have been on ye Spot and find that sd land is but of Very Small Contents and as it lays betwen two large Contrey Roads and Runs of to a very Small point for thefe Reafons we Apprehend that it will be a greater Damage to the Publick and the Neighbourhood by heaveing sd land Sold & fenced in than ye Profits and Effects that may Come to the town by the Sale thereof we are therefore of oppinion that it is not prudent or advifable for the town to Difpofe of Said land by Selling and the Committe Do further
