They ordered the Clerk to Issue out Warrants to the Several Constables Directing them to warn all the Inhabitants of Watertown who are Quallified to vote in the Choice of a Governor L': Governor & Senators to afsemble at the Meeting House in Said town on Monday the 4th- Day of April Next at two O: Clock P: M: for the Purpofes aforeSaid. and also to warn all the Inhabitants of Said town who are Quallified to Vote in town affairs to meet at the Same place the Same Day at 3: O Clock afternoon to act on the following articles (Viz)


First to Choofe a moderator of the Meeting. (2ly) To Choofe any Town officers in the Room of any that Neglect or refuse to Serve: (3ly) To hear the Reports of any Committees that have been appointed for any perticular Services and for the town to act thereon as they See fit. (4ly) To hear the Petitions of William Warren and others the town to take into their Consid- eration the Several things contained therein and Act thereon as they think proper. To Mefsrs: Josiah Capen William Hunt & others the Sum of ten pounds Eleven hillings & ten pence in leiu of an order on M': Ezekiel Hall not answered for the Sum of Seven Hundred and forty pounds eighteen Shillings which was given on sd Hall. - also to Pay Lucy Bond Nine Pounds for Boarding Deliverance Whitney as appears on her account &c

They agreed to have a Meeting with the Selectmen of Weston & Waltham at the wido Dorothy Coollidges on monday Next at three O Clock in the afternoon to take care of the Great Bridge & directed the Clerk to Notify them thereof. which was Accord- ingly don


at this meeting the following Notifications were received (Viz) m' Daniel Whitney Notified in Writting that he had received into his houfe one Enoch Hide and Family, also William Learned & Family last from Newton. See the notification Dated may ye 12th. 1785.

They Directed the Clerk to Issue out Warrants to the Constables to warn the Inhabitants of the town that are Qullified to vote in town affairs to meet at the Meeting Houfe on monday the 8th- Day of Augt : next at 4 O Clock afternoon to Act on ye following articles (Viz) First to Choofe a Moderator of the Meeting


(2) To know the minde of the Town whether the tax Agreed upon for the Currant year, or any part thereof Shall he im- mediately afsefsed or put of to a future time and to act any thing Relating thereto they Judge Proper.


(3) To Confider whether it is expedient & Necefsary to Settle all the Outftanding Tax's before any New Tax Shall Issue, and do anything thereon that the town may think best.


(4) For the town to Choofe a Collector of Tax's Surveyor of Highways & Tythingman in the room of Mr Nathaniel Bright Deceaft. and any any other town officer in the place of any perfon or perfons that have Neglected to be Sworn into any office to which they were Chofen


(5) For the town to abate any perfons tax's they may think Proper.


(6) to hear the accounts of any perfons the town is Indebted to and Grant money to pay the Same if they think Proper. and make any further grants of money they may think Necefsary.


(7) To Hear the Reports of any Committees and act thereon as they See fitt --

They Voted and Chose Capt: Jonathan Maynard Moderator. - The 2d article being Read and after debate thereon. Voted that the afsefsing the town Tax's be put of till the former Collectors of tax's Settle their accounts or the further order of the Town. - Then Voted that the Collectors be allow'd two months to Settle with the Treafurer. after which time the Treafurer is Directed to Issue his Executions against all Such as Neglect to Settle their Accounts. Then Voted that the Afsefsors Should Afsefs the Minifterial Tax emediately on the 4th article They voted & Chofe Mr Richard Clark a Collector of Tax's in the Room of Mr Nathaniel Bright Deceaft to finifh Collecting the Remainder of Sd Brights lists of tax's -
