Waltham abovesd (or Such Perfons as they May Appoint) To Petition the Great & General Court for a Grant of So much of the Unapropriated Lands belonging to the Province To be made to the Sd Three Towns as the sd Court in their Wifdom shall judge Meet and Sufficiant to be in Liew of sd Grant of Medow And alfo the Better to Enable the sd Three Towns, Char- fully to bear the Growing Charge of sd Bridge (which the publick are So greatly benefited by) or other wife in their Great Wifdom & good nefs to relieve the sd three Small Towns Relating to the Premises. & ye Vote paft in ye Affirme:

[19] At a Meeting of the Selectmen at M' Jonas Bonds on the 23d Day of March 1746/7 The Selectmen Agre'd with Mr John Coollidge To board the Widw. Webb (who is at his houfe) and look after for the Space of one Year from the 25th. of this Inftant March, And to have as a Recompence from the Town therefor After the Rate of Twelve Shillings P week old Tener. And if Any Extrordinary Charge should happen by Reafon of Sicknefs Lamenefs or other wife to have Reafonable Satisfaction therefor over and Above ye 12/ P week.
Whereas Samuel Warrin gave a Note of hand of Eight pounds Ninteen shillings & Nine pence of wch he paid Ten fhillings & 10d afterward. The Remainder Lying dead, And ye sd Warrin hav- ing Offred to give bond for ye same for the Ufe of the Town. The Selectmen Advifed the Treafurer to take his Bond for ye Ufe of ye Town and to give up ye sd Note.
At a Meeting of ye Selectmen at ye Widw. Mary Learneds on the 3d Day of April 1747. This Year being the Year by Law for Preambulation and Renewing of ye Marks on the Lines between the Adjacent Towns. The Selectmen Accordingly Appointed Mefsrs. Jonathan Bemis & Ebenezer Thatcher To preambulate with the Adjacent Towns and with Such as they Shall Appoint to Renew the Marks on the Lines Between Sd Watertown and the Adjacent Towns. And they are Appointed & Directed to meet wth Such perfons as the Selectmen of Cambridge Shall appoint. On the Line between Watertown & Cambridge Near Edward Marrits on Wednesday the Twenty Second day of April Currant at Nine of the Clock in the fornoon. And with Such Perfons as the Selectmen of Waltham Shall appoint at one of ye Clock afternoon of sd Day At the Line between Watertown & Sd Waltham Near Thomas Near Thomas Wellingtons.
And with Such Perfons as the Selectmen of Newton Shall Appoint at four of the Clock Afternoon on sd Day on the Line between Watertown and Said Newton Near Daniel Cooks. and Make return of yr Doings on sd Affair to the Town Clerk.

In Obedience thereto, Ordred the Clerk to Ifue out Warrants Directed to the Conftables of Water- town To warn the free holders and Other Inhabts. of sd Town who are Qualified to Vote in the Choice of a Reprefentative to Meet at the Publick Meeting houfe in Said Town, On Munday the Eighteenth Day of May Currant At three of ye Clock after- noon then and there to Elect and Depute a Meet Perfon to Reprefent them at A General Court or Asfembly Appointed to be Convened held and keept for His Majestry's Service at the Court houfe in Boston on Wednefday the 27th of May Currant .-
And Alfo to Order the Sd Conftables to Warn the freeholders and other Inhabitants of Watertown who are Quallified to Vote in Town Affairs to Meet at Sd Publick Meeting houfe on Sd Eighteenth Day of May at four of the Clock Afternoon for ye Ends following vizt.
1. To Choofe a Moderator.
2. To hear the Report of Several Comtees: who were Appointed to make Report at sd Meeting on thofe Affairs of ye Town they were chofen to Act in, And for the Town to Act further Relating to Sd Affairs if they See Meet.
3. To hear the Accts. of Mefsurs. Joseph Coollidge & Jonas Bond Truftees for Watertown, for the receiving and Leting out the Loan Bills of Credit belonging to said Town, And the Receiving the Intereft therefor &c. of their proceedings in that Affair, And for the Town to Act their Pleafure with Relation thereunto.
4. To know the mind of ye Town whether they will Revive the the Town buy Law Relating to the fettering horfes.

6. To hear the Petition of James Dix Relating to the Shoop that He Errected on the Town Land Near the Mill Crick in s[aid] Town And for the Town to Act their pleafure with Relation thereunto.
Warrants were Isued out Accordingly Pr me Jos: Mafon Cler- The Selectmen at this Meeting Appointed to meet on ye 25th of of this Inftant May at three Clock Afternoon at Nath1. Harris Esq'. And Defired the Clerk to Send Notifications to Sundry Perfons in the Name of ye Selectmen to meet them at ye time and place aforesd. vizt To John Coollidge, David Coollidge, Jabez Stratton & Isaac Holdin To pay or Renew their Bonds, wherein they are Indebted to ye Town. And to John Kimbul & Jos[eph] Stearns to come and pay what is due from them to ye Town for Land they had of ye Town.
[21] At a General Town Meeting of the freeholders and other Inhabts. of Watertown Qualified to Vote in the Choice of a Representative, Regulerly Afsembled at the Publick Meeting houfe in sd Town on the Eighteenth Day of May 1747. for ye Choice of a Representative.
After the Votes were brot in Sorted and told, it Appeared that M' Jonas Bond was Chofen to Reprefent the Town at a Great & General Court or Afsembly Appointed to be Convened held & kept at ye Court houfe in Boston on Wednesday ye 27th. of May Currant P ye Maj' part of ye Voters prefent, the Maj' part of ye Selectmen being present.
