Mitchell Everd Prince

Beloved son, grandson, and brother was shot during a rob- bery in Fresno. So violent for such a loving, gentle, young man.

Mitch was born in Bakersfield, but moved with his family to Wofford Heights where he started the 3rd grade. He graduated from Kern Valley High School in 1993. Mitch received the Principal's Award and several scholarships.

He worked part-time at the Elks Lodge where he loved all the members, and they loved him.

Mitch was a rare gem in today's world. Never in any kind of trouble and never a discipline problem. He lived by godly prin- ciples. Even a little guy, he had so much maturity for such a young age. He had such sensi- tivity to others' needs and feel- ings.

After high school, he enrolled at Fresno State majoring in jour- nalism and communications. He received his BA Degree in May of this year.

He worked as a "free lance" reporter/writer for the Kern Val- ley Sun the summer after com- pleting his freshman year in col- lege. After graduating in May,

Mitch decided to stay in Fresno, which had become home. He had a nice apartment and more job opportunities. He also had made many good friends in that area.

He was a hard worker and held down a part-time job all through college.

A special young man with a future filled with such promise. Mitch touched so many lives in his short 23 years.

Our beloved, your time with us was so brief. Even as we struggle with our devastating grief, we know you are with God in his special place. And the cares of this harsh world, you'll no longer have to face.
