A Special Tributo To Our Sister Clara Malone Anderson. 10/21/24 to 7/4/0257

Our eldest sister and a feisty Irish gal who feared naught. A quick temper that might show up if she wasn't in the mood for teasing. If you decided to test her, better not be standing too close, 'cause you might feel the pain of her ire. Adeline and I will miss you. Love Hary

Big sister to nine of us, and many others that "joined" our family through the years. Always put her family first. Loved being a part of such a big family Always had a great sense of humor and could laugh at herself. We will miss her deeply :- Stan & Family

Sometime loud, blunt, frank and outspoken, and maybe a few colorful cuss words to get her point across Made friends easily and kept them for a lifetime. That was just the way she was. Loren

A dedicated and loyal family member, sister and friend. My very best supporter and critic in whatever I did Always had an instant opinion, but left a door open for listening. Love you and miss you. Patsy & Pat I will think of you always on my gambling trips. I know you have already found that big slot machine in the sky. Til we meet again. "Maria & Elena" Love you "Dorty"

In Remembrance: (Our last visit was her gracious smile and laughter and her concern for all her family members' well-being and happiness.) Even when she called me a "Dumb Head" it was with love. Bud & Julie

Carol & Charlie Forever

Recently my dear friend lost the love of her life to cancer.

Carol and Charlie moved here to the Valley in July of 1999 from Portland, Oregon to help care for his ailing mother (although whether she was really ill or not is in question).

Charlie had resided in Oregon for 23 years after serving his time in the U.S. Marines and fighting for his country in Vietnam.

He then met the love of his life, Carol, in 1995. He and Carol had their first date on Aug. 14, 1995- seven years to the day before they laid Charlie to rest.

While residing in Lake Isabella, they accumulated property together first year and a half, paying all bills.

while Carol worked the

Charlie was a jack-of-all-trades, mainly being self-employed, working construc- tion most of his life.

Charlie was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. As Carol wasn't really into hunting, she and Charlie did a lot of fishing together, which she learned to love as Charlie did.

In May 2001, Carol left the Smoke Shop where she had worked for almost two years, and opened up her own cigarette business. Charlie told her, "This is your baby, run it the way you want," and she did with a lot of sweat and determination.

She worked 12 bours a day, seven days a week for a year, until Charlie went into the hospital and was diagnosed with cancer of the brain.

She then closed the store in June, as she was traveling to the VA Hospital in L.A. every day to see Charlie.

Unfortunately, there was trouble with Charlie's family during this time. There is a question about their control of Charlie's assets, including a car that Charlie had bought her six years before.

Two and a half weeks before Charlie passed, they removed him from the hospi- tal and brought him home to his mother's residence.

I saw my dear friend Carol go through so much pain, she wasn't even allowed to grieve in peace, and didn't deserve the treatment she got.

See, due to the nature of Charlie's illness, he could not fight back, nor speak on Carol's behalf.

I know where Charlie wanted to be- home with the love of his life. He told me himself when Ivisited him in the hospital that he had asked Carol numerous times to marry him.

Charlie loved her more than life, as she loved him.

We have come to the conclusion that none of these people have ever known the kind of love and devotion that Charlie and Carol shared.

One thing they can never take away from her is the memories they both shared. Carol, Charlie will always be with you in spirit and heart.

Your friend always,

Love, Phyllis
