Oliver "Mike" Kuck

Oliver, "Mike" Kuck died

failure." His everlasting life certificate reads "joyful spirit." .He had a special spirit and mind destined not for the rare achievement measured by wealth and fame, but for the rarest achievement measured by joy and love. Family love was most dear to him. He was. a loving and loyal husband of 57 years to his wife, Virginia. He was a loving and great fa- ther to his four children- daughters Beverly, Cheryl and. Carole and son Fritz. And he was a loving and proud grand- father to Andrew, son of Fritz and his wife Ann. He will also be remembered as a good friend to the boating and fish- ing community of Lake sabella.

Oliver Kuck walked a happy road and a good one, taking bumps along the way with a glad heart and sense of hu- mor. To know him was to know much laughter and joyful play: He enjoyed the simple joys of life - a good meal, a good joke, a good song, a good day's work, a good conversation, and

a good night's sleep. He en- joyed just passing time

With an outstretched hand for every friend and stranger, he'd talk to anyone who'd lis- ten to his stories and lend a hand to anyone in need. He never celebrated another man's bad luck. He never cursed his aging ways and never objected to living one? more year. Yet, when his body gave out, he was ready to pass on. Until then, he never said that life wasn't worth the work. He never put on airs for any- one or took more credit than he was due. When his dreams came true and his prayers were answered; he made new dreams and was grateful.

He passed from this life con- tent and at peace, in his final days. Oliver recovered the feel and memory of past decades with his wife, and together they embraced the love and com- fort of present days with their children. When the angels welcomed him home, they surely must have given him a

place to stay and slumber, a friend to fish and hunt with, and dog to hold in his lap, a good song to tap his foot to, a few folks to laugh and joke around with, and a dish full of ice cream.

If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared; a laugh, a kiss Ah, yes, these things too ! will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, For l wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've sa- vored much,

Good friends, good times, a a loved one's touch:

Perhaps my time seems all too brief,

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
