* His mother, Elizabeth Robinson, was a daughter of Richard Cutter of Cambridge. On a copy of Richard Cutter's will, which copy was made a short time before his death in 1693, is this endorsement: "For the two Robinsons, grandsons to the deceased." This paper was found among the papers left by Jonathan Robinson.

It appears by a deed in the possession of the family that Isaac Powers of Cambridge sold to Jonathan Robinson of Cambridge, weaver, in 1706, a lot of land at Cambridge Farms, bounded northerly by Concord Road, easterly by land of Joanna Winship, southerly by land of John Diekson, and westerly by land. of the heirs of Samuel Winship. This and other deeds of land to Jonathan Robinson, bounded by the Winships, Whitmores, and Bowmans, implies without doubt that he resided on or near the place (occupied in IS68 by Jonas Gammell) at the present termination of Oak Street.
