Hecame to Lexington and erected a house on the present Lincoln Street, near his father-in-law's house, where he spent the remainder of his days. He held a commission under Governor Bernard as "Cornet of His Majesty's Blue troop." His sword, holsters, and a part of his commission are preserved by the family, and were in the hands of his grandson, the late Samuel Chandler.
