"The Aurora Legion has started a movement to remove ' the body of William Lumbley, the only soldier of the American Revolution buried in Lawrence county. to Aurore, and for the erection of & sultable monument In his memory.

"Bince 1676. the centennial year. when the Fourth of July celebration was held near bis grave and the funds "collected at the time used to erect a crude monument from the stonea from his old mill. several at- tempte have been made to organize a campaign to collect muufficiint . funds to erect a monument, but none of them ever got beyond that stage. And It is quite probable the Aurora attempts will share the same fate.

"As the bodies of Mr. Lumbley's wife. son and daughter-in-law are buried near his and compose all the graves in the little cemetery. it has never before occurred to anyone to separate them. Sentimentally it would be wrong to do so. really it would make no difference.
