Woman's Divorce is Annulled As She Asks Marriage License


"Divorce for the plaintiff and former name of Hembree re- stored."


That was the announcement of Judge " Warren' L'~White in the" circuit court yesterday after the evidence had been presented in the case of Etta Mckeehan of Galena for a divorce from Charles McKeehan.


While the Ink was drying on the circuit court et.try. William L. Blansit of Walnut Shade and Ella Hembree, formerly Mckee- han. applied for a marriage li- conse in the office of Jari W. Mckee, recorder of deeds.


Information that the license had been asked reached Judge White and A. L. Wallace, deputy sheriff. notified-the two that Judge White wanted them in the court room.

Blansit had appeared character witness when Mrs. Mc- Keehan obtained her divorce.

DEATH OF A SOLDIER. BRANSON, May 19 .- Mrs. Clara 'Hillhouse was expecting her son, George, to come home almost any day to live with her on her small farm west of Branson. He had been In the army eight years and was to be hou- orebly discharged this month.


Thursday she received a telegram stating he had died the day before in a hospital at El Paso, Texas, follow- Ing an operation for appendicitis. Corporal George E. Hillhouse enter- ed Into his country's service during the World war and mw ten months' service in France. He had re-enlisted twice since that time. He was 20 years old and marrieds
