Hold Rites Friday For Sheriff Killed . By Passenger Train , Funeral of R. N. McIntosh'of Hart- Vlie, sheriff of Wright county, who was instantly kliled yesterday after- noon when his motor car was struck by the Frisco Bunnyland at Brands-

Sheriff Mcintosh WBS leaving Brandsville, where he had spent the day visiting with J. C. Bmalley, Frisco passenger Agent. when the accident occurred.
He was crossing the railroad tracks when the Sunnyland, which does not stop at Brandeville, rushad upon htm, striking the car and demolishing it.
The sheriff. according to onlookers. apparently falled to see the train when he started to cross the tracka and when words of warning werd shouted at him he became confused and stalled his motor.
The engine crashed Into the car. hurling Mr. Mcintosh to the plat- form. The car was dragged many feet before the train was stopped by En- gineer R. Trenery of Springfield.

Harold Huddleston. 27-year-old negro. 851 Summit a enue. last night mes failed br po''re after he nad shot and killed Cass Murphy, negro. 526 East Water street. The shooting occurred in -the streets at Washing- ton avenue and Phelps street a few minutes before 6 o'clock.
Huddleston, who charged that Murphy had been paying too much attention to his wife, fired six shots at his victim, three taking effect in the head and neck. The wounded negro died a few minutes later while being taken to a hospital.

Huddleston told police that Murphy had been visiting his wife at his home

INFANT WELBENER. Raymond Henry Welbener. seven months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray- mond Welhener. 624 Poplar street. died at 9:45 o'clock last night. He 1s survived by his parents. his grand- father. G. A. Bhane, 624 Poplar'street, and two grandmothers. Mre. Anna. E. Wefhener, 1407 North Broadway, and Mrs G. A. Shane.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afteracon. Interment will be In Enstlawn cemetery under the direc- tioh of the W. L. Starne Undertaking company.
