Leah Helen Logan Weds James P. Guthrie Here


Popular Springfield Society Maid Married Yester- day At St. Paul Church; Couple to Texas for Honeymoon Trip of Two Weeks -...


.PRESENTED in one of the -most attractive weddinga .- witnessed this year by Springfield society, Mies Leah Helen Logan, daughter of Mr. and Mra. C. E. Logan, 1030 East Elm street, yesterday became the bride of Mr. James Peacher Guthrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Camp- ball, 620 Welt Mt. Vernon street.


The ceremonies took place in the St. Paul Methodist church. yester. day mordlai, the Reverend John W. Pearson officiating with the slagto frygter Spring powers and ferns, uniquely placed about the altar of the Apes' and rade even more beautiful by the presence of the full watte latin ribbons which marked the trail to the altar.


Dressed in a wedding gown of poudre blue georgette and cream lace, the bride, ' accompanied by her maid of honor, Mies Pauline Crane, marched down the aisle to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, played by the Misses Beulah and 1da Bess Logan. Miss Logan carried a bouquet of pink roses and lillles of the valley, while Miss Crane's bouquet was composed of sweet peas.


During the ceremony the Misses Logan played "At Dawning" and for the recessional played Mendelssohn's wedding march. Following the wedding the couple left for a two weeka' tour of San Antonio and other Texas citles.


Mr. and Mrs. Guthrie are well known In Springfield social circles. Mra. Guthrie being a member of the Alpha Tau Phi sorority and Mr. Guthrle a member of the Phi Lambda Epsilon fraternity here. Both are prominent members of the younger set und have taken an active part in all social activities here for the past several years.
