Mr. Watters had gotten Into a boat and members of the party, who were taking pictures, saw him lean over the aide, dipping his head into the water. They belleved him to be playing & prank until he failed to lift himself again. He had not been ill and had never suffered an attack before, hle family said.


Mr. Watters had lived in Marshfield since he was seven years old and had been editor of the Marshfield Mali for twenty years. Ha had been post- master for atx years. .

Special Dlepatch to The News LEBANON. Mo .. Aug. 8 .- Ruben Nobel, former judge of the Laclede county court and a resident of the county for 45 years, died at his home here Tuesday.


Funeral services were held this aft- ernoon with Interment in McBride cemetery. Several hundred persons attended the services. Mr. Nobel. who was 64 years old, was prominent in county affairs for many years. He was operated upon for appendicitis two months ago and never recovered.

Despondent over ill health. Thomas J. Bredley, 2425 North Main avenue, early this morning committed suicide by shooting himself in the right tem4 ple with a small revolver. He was 53 years old.


Bradley, who had been an invalid for eight years, was found lying be- alde his bed at 7:30 o'clock this morn4 ing by his wife who entered the room with his breakfast. A small revolves was in hle band. .
