Tradition claims that seren brothers of this name came to New Eng. together and sett. in Mass. and Conn. colonies. Hartford and Windsor ree. show a THOMAS and Jons, 1644 (sve Gen. of John Watson of Hartford, Conn., by Thomas Watson, Printed for the U. Q Club, N. York. 1865). Patterson, "among the desc. both of Robert and John, that they, as well as Thomas, were bro's, and Caleb a relative; but we find no positive proof of it on record. The fact that the names of John, Thomas and Caleb have been cherished and transmitted among the posterity of Rob't and John, affords good ground for conjecture, but it is not conclusive evidence of relationship."
