BEVELAQUA, ANTHONY H. (Late) - Proprietor, Norwood Insurance agency, 3 Washington Sq., Haverhill. Born Haverhill, March 30, 1893. Son of John Bevelaqua and Carolina Gardella. Educated in local elementary and High schools. Engaged in clothing business for 20 years and was one of the owners of Carters Clothing Co. Later became the proprietor of the Norwood Insurance Agency and engaged in that field until he died in 1941. He possessed sterling qualities and was an outstanding leader in his community. His business is now carried on by his wife, Kathryn Burke of Groveland, Mass., whom he married Sept. 20, 1922. She is a former student of Simmons College and was commercial school teacher for num- ber of years. Two children: Phillips Anthony, born April 11, 1927, grad- uate of Groveland High, now in U. S. Navy; and R. Burke, a student. Mr. Bevelaqua's father was born in Genoa, Italy. Came to U. S. A. in the early 80's, was first Genoese to settle in Haverhill. Children: Alfred, graduate of High School of Commerce and of Syracuse University, a commercial artist; Raymond, graduate of North High School, in the U. S. Mr. Bianchi was member of Worcester City Council for two years, and board of Aldermen for four years, appointed registrar of voters in 1944. Has contributed numerous ar- ticles for the "Bus Transportation Magazine." His father was born in Mariglianella, Naples, Italy. Came to America in 1904 settling in Spring- field. Came to America in 1907 settling in Milford. Educated in the public schools. In business since 1938. Member: Order Sons of Italy. Fond of hunting, bowling, travel, and music. His father came to America in 1906 settled in Milford as foundry worker. Had the following children: Alderbrando; Eleanor, married to Sergio Temprendola of Natick; and Julius, who is associated with his brother, Alderbrando, in the above business. Res .: 221 E. BITETTI, NUNZIO-Born Santeramo, Bari, Italy, Dec. 16, 1886. Son of Saverio Bitetti and Anna Giovi. Attended public school, served in Italian Army. Came to the U. S. in 1910 settling in Canton, as textile worker. Married Maria Musci of his native town, April 22, 1913. Children: Saverio, graduate Canton High, member varsity baseball and football, captain baseball team of 1934, attended Hawley School of Engineering in Boston, is painter and decorator contractor, veteran U. S. Army in Aleutian Isles; AnnĂ , graduate St. John's High, is married to Joseph Di- Felice; Rose, graduate St. John's High, is married to John Finn Jr .; Cos- mo D., graduate St. John's High, member varsity baseball team and ed- itor of school paper, veteran U. S. Army in Europe, presidential citation and three battle stars, is attending College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Bitetti is member Italian Mutual Benefit Society. BIZZARRI, ETTORI-Born Naples, Italy, Dec. 15, 1897. Son of Ascanio Bizzarri and Eleonora Vallesio. Educated in the technical schools of Avellino. Came to America in 1914 settling in Leominster. In the service of Tilton and Cook Co., as general foreman of the moulding dep't. since 1937. Formerly with F. A. Whitney Carriage Co. Married Evelina Fati- canti of Leominster, April 29, 1918. She is a native of Ardea, Rome, Italy. Children: Eleonora Barbara, born Dec. 1, 1919, a graduate of Leominster High School and of the Hospital Training School as graduate nurse; and Hector Anthony, born Aug. 11, 1927, graduate of Leominster High School. Mr. Bizzarri is member of Loyal Order of Moose and of the Eagles. Deeply interested in civic affairs. Fond of football, hunting, fishing, travel and grand opera. Res .: 38 Cross St., Leominster.
