Since 1939 has specialized in obstetrics and gynecology. On staff of Boston City Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital and Newton Hospital. Instructor in clinical obstetrics at Boston University, Tufts Medical School and Harvard Medical School. Married Elaine Poirier of Somerville, May 1, 1935. Children: Joseph D. Jr., Daniel A., Elaine Gabrielle, Ann and Susan. Member: Mass. and American Medical Associations; fellow of American College of Surgeons; a diplomate of American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Member of Harvard Club. Contributed to N. E.
