Made her debut "La Bohemia" in Florence, Italy, and thereafter sang in im- portant theatres throughout Europe and the Americas with renowned artists including Beniamino Gigli, excelling in lyric roles. Married Leone Woodbury of Springfield, May 3, 1944 (a graduate of Valparaiso University, and former teacher at Am. Int. College). Mr. Tartaro is deeply interested in civic affairs and in welfare work among his countrymen. Has done considerable amount of Americanization work among all classes. Member: Italian American Citizen's Club; Elks; Founder and former president of Italian Athletic Club; past grand dele- gate, Order Sons of Italy in America. S. Navy; Gloria, married to Anthony Collelo; Eva, Samuel, Nazzaret, Florence and Daniel (twins), and Dora. Mr. Trementozzi is member of American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars and Sons of Italy. Fond of all sports. His father came to U. S. in 1906 settling in Hyde Park. Has following children: Celestina in Italy, Domenic; James; and John, veteran U. S. Army overseas.
