Children: Atea Ada, public school teacher in Groveland and Haverhill. Frank B., graduate of Wentworth Institute, as machine de- signer; and Peter Robert, graduate of Tufts College, with honors in chemical engineering, Captain in U. S. Army overseas. All the children have graduated from Groveland High School. Mr. Perri's father came to America in 1882, was among the pioneer Italian American settlers of Haverhill. He fought for the Italian independence against Austria in the famous campaign of 1848. Mr. Pesaturo was among the most outstanding Italo-Americans of Canton, was also court interpreter and took active part in civic affairs. Died Nov. 27, 1944. PETRACCA, ANTONIO (Tony Peters)-Orchestra Director. Born New- ark, N. J., Nov. 22, 1903. Son of Pasquale Petracca and Frances Calello. Graduated from Norwood High. Studied music under Fiumara, concert master of the Boston Symphony; and in Italy for eight years. Director of his orchestra known as Tony Peters Orchestra since 1934. Musician since his high school days playing in Paul Whiteman Orchestra, the. famous Silvertown Cord Orchestra, and accompanied the Silver Mask tenor of radio fame. Mr. Petracca is internationally known as string instrumentalist, outstanding as guitarist. Has accompanied some of the finest performers in America, including Bing Crosby and Kate Smith. His orchestra has played throughout the U. S. and South America. At present playing at Hotel Statler in Boston since 1943. Married Constance- Orlando of Chelsea, Sept. 1, 1932. Fond of all sports. Hobby - golf,. horseback riding. His father, a native of Spilinga, Catanzaro, Italy. Came to U. S. in 1892, settled in Newark, N. J., later in Norwood. PETRALIA, ANTHONY-Proprietor, Petralia Grocery, 70 Common St., Lawrence. Born Pedara, Catania, Italy, Nov. 13, 1889. Son of Alfio Pe- tralia and Concetta Bonaccorsi. Attended public school in his native town. Came to America in 1906, settling in Lawrence, where he estab- lished his grocery business in 1915. Married Grazietta Frazzetto of Law- rence. Nov. 26, 1910. Children: Constance, graduate of Emanuel College (B.S. degree) ; Alfio, student of Villanova College for three years, is Lieut. in U. S. Navy; Nancy, attending Georgian Court College, Lake- wood, N. J .; Frank and Theresa, are high school students. Mr. Petralia is member of Sicilian Citizens' Club. Fond of art, travel and music. Has two brothers: Domenic and Alfio, and a sister Rosa, all living in Italy. Res .: 478 Prospect St., Methuen.
