Educated in Quincy public schools and attended Wentworth Institute in Boston for four years. Veteran of U. S. Army, World War I. In the service of Quincy Fire Dept., since May 1, 1920, promoted Lieutenant in 1933 and Captain in 1938. Married Ruth Bertrand of Quincy, June 1, 1921. Children: Jean Ruth, born Dec. 16, 1923, married to Lewis Barrett of Canada; Donald A., born Oct. 18, 1925, is in U. S. Army Air Force; Owen J., born Oct. 27, 1928 (all are graduates of Quincy High School). Edwin, born Sept., 1931; Lois, born Aug. 27, 1933; and Joan, born Jan. 1, 1935. Member: Mass. State Firemen's Association and American Legion. Fond of hunting, fishing, travel, music and aviation. His father was born in Massa e Carrara, Italy. Came to America in 1888, was among the pioneer Italian settlers of Quincy, where he engaged in granite manufacturing. DELLAMANO, PALMIRA TAGLIABUE-Pianist and Teacher, 40 Beals St., Brookline. Born Boston, Nov. 26, 1895. Daughter of Camillo Tagliabue and Luisa Fellini. Graduated from Brighton High School in 1915. Began to study music at the age of eight in the New England Conservatory of Music, graduating with highest honors in 1917, later took post graduate courses. Married Mario Dellamano of Boston, March 13, 1918. Children: Albert, a graduate of Wentworth Institute in 1942, now serving in U. S. Marines; Paul, honor student at Brookline High School, and Palmira Louise. Mrs. Dellamano has been teaching the piano since 1917. At present she is assistant to Boris Goldowski of the New England Conservatory-Opera Dept. Has given numerous recitals and accompaniments. Considered an artist of rare ability and master of her art. Member: Pianoforte Teachers' Society of Boston and Italian Historical Society. Her father was born in Milano, mother in Parma, Italy. Both came to America in 1885 settling in Boston.
