Worked as chef in Florida. Chef at Essex Hotel, Boston since 1942. Fond of all sports and a lover of music. Father came to America in 1900, now in Italy. Mr. Perello has a brother, Donato, also chef, a sister Valen- tina (Di Salvo) Boston, a sister and a brother in Italy. Res .: 4 Chicka- tawbut St., Dorchester.

Educated in the public schools of his native town. Came to America in 1909, settling in Wor- cester, later attended Northeastern School of Law for three years. Served in U. S. Army overseas, during World War I, as interpreter. In the service of Ware Pratt and Co. of Worcester since 1925. Married to Ida Burki of Medford, Mass., July 1, 1918. She is a native of Switzerland and speaks several languages. Mr. Perfetti is member of the American Legion and Italian Citizens' League. Fond of baseball, fishing, travelling, and classical music. Has the following three brothers: Frank, employed in coal fields in Bellair, Ohio; Joseph, in auto business in Clarksburgh, West Virginia; and Louis of Pittsburgh, Penn. Fond of baseball, bocce, golf, travel and music. Has a brother, Rocco, living in Leominster. Res .: 207 Central St., Leominster.
PERNA, JOSEPH - Tonsorialist. Born Monteverde, Avellino, Italy, Jan. 27, 1882. Son of Angelo Perna and Carmela Ricciardi. Attended public schools in his native town. Came to America in 1900. Lived in Concord, N. H. In the barber buiness in Waltham since 1920. Married Rachel Mangone of Dorchester, Aug. 29, 1918. Children: Angelo, grad- uate of Waltham High, member of varsity football team, attended Tufts College, mechanic; George, attended Northeastern University, supt. at Norwood Airplane Plant, also an outstanding coach in the theatrical field; Albert, graduate of Middlesex University School of Podiatry, Lieut. in U. S. Army Air Corps, pilot; Mary Carolyn, married to Francis J. Vanaria and Margaret, both sisters are beauticianists. Mr. Perna is pres. of local Barber's Union, No. 711 and member of Order of Eagles. His father came to America in 1920. Had the following children: Joseph, Bernard, Mrs. Emilia Loreti, and Mrs. Virginia Gervasio. Res .: 571 Main St., Waltham.
