Jr., and Angela Robert. Member: San Bartolomeo Society of Boston. His father born Salina Malfa, Lipari, Messina, Italy. Came to U. S. in 1898 settling in Waltham, as fruit and confectionery merchant. Opened 20 stores while here and made 18 trips to Italy. Owner of the famous Eolo Hotel of Messina, Italy. Father of following six children: John, Maria, Emanuela, Angelina, Aurona, and Joseph-a graduate of Mes- sina University and a practicing physician. Former member of Clinton School Board Committee for three years and chairman for one year. Member of K. C. fourth degree and of Liberty Club. War I, 82nd division and saw service in France. Was awarded citation for distinguished service volunteering to carry food and ammunition to front; lines under heavy shell fire. Married Eunice I. Medbury of Wilmington, Vt., Aug. 21, 1924. Children: Robert John, student of Technical High, serv- ing in U. S. Navy; and Richard Frank, a student. Member: American Legion and National Assn. of Letter Carriers. Fond of sports and music. His father was born in Cicagna, Genoa, Italy. Came to America in 1879 settling in Boston, later in Springfield, where he was foreman at Kibby Bros. for 40 years. Res .: 775 Armory St., Springfield.

Children: Rita, Rose Marie, Celia, and William Jr. Member: Everett 50 Club, and Local 7 of Boston. Fond of football, boxing, travel and music. His parents were born in the vicinity of Genoa, Italy, came to U. S. in the early 80's, settling in Boston, later in Everett. Had follow- ing children: William; Charles, veteran of U. S. Army, World War II; Alden, veteran U. S. Army, 15th Air Force, took part in African and Italian invasions; James, and Hildred. Res: 29 George St., Everett.
