In 1936 he opened the first open air Automobile Theater in New England at Weymouth. Inventor of several motion picture machine devices, including the rear shutter for reducing heat in films, thus decreasing fire hazards, which he sold to the Interna- tional Projector Corp. for $50,000. Outstanding in the field of motion picture projection engineering. Member: Motion Picture Operators Union; Society of Motion Picture Engineers; life member of Elks, and Euclid Lodge, A. F. & A. M. Came to America in 1898. Settled in Milford in 1902. In the grocery business since 1907. Mar- ried Madalena Novella of Milford, March 16, 1903. Children: Peter, asso- ciated with his father in the business, married to Irene Kellett, a nurse; Frank, former student of Milford High School, is in U. S. Army overseas, married to Evelyn Tibs; Bennie, in U. S. Army overseas, as radio operator; Michael, is in the barber business; Joseph, is with Draper Corp., married to Alba Villani. Mr. Consoletti's father came to America in 1898 with his wife, settling in Milford, they had 16 children, six are living: Anthony, Michele, Frank, Alfonso, Filomena and Anna. Educated in the public schools of Lawrence. In business since 1934. Married Blanche Falanga of Lawrence, April 14, 1940, graduate of Lawrence High and of New Hampshire Memorial Hos- pital, reg. nurse. They have two children, Marie Christine, born July 4, 1942, and Grace Cynthia, born Jan. 4, 1944. Mr. Consoli is member of Italian American Civic Association; the Holy Name Society, and Italian Santa Maria Society. Fond of baseball, golf, travel and music. His father was born in Santa Maria di Licodia, Catania, Italy. Came to America in 1906 settling in Lawrence, where he engaged in textile business for over 30 years. CONSOLMAGNO, ANTHONY J .- Attorney at Law. Born Boston, Oct. 19, 1899. Son of Joseph Consolmagno and Jennie Martino. Graduated from Medford High School in 1919; Suffolk University Law School in 1926, L. L. B. Special course at Boston University and Emerson College of Oratory. In general practice of Law in Medford and Cambridge since 1928. Formerly in the building contracting business with his father. Is assistant liquidating counsel and special investigator of public bequests for the Attorney General's office. Married Catherine M. Robertson of Medford, March 10, 1930. Children: Paul A., Ralph J., and John J. Mr. Consolmagno worked his way through college by selling newspapers in the streets of Boston. Active in civic and social affairs. A lover of art, music, and reading. His father was born in Aquara, Salerno, Italy. Came to America settling in Boston, as building contractor for over 40 years.
