MUOLLO, HENRY BENEDICT, S. J. REV .- Parish Priest, St. Mary's Church of Boston. Born Boston, Aug. 6, 1899. Son of Teodoro Muollo and Carolina Pagliuca. Graduated Boston College High School in 1919; attended Boston College 1919-21; noviceship of Society of Jesus at Yongers, N. Y., 1921-23, and Juniorate at Shadowbrook, Lenox, Mass., 1923-25. Studied philosophy at Western College, 1925-28, receiving his degrees of B.A. and M.A. Taught at Boston College High School, 1928-30. Studied Sacred Theology at Western College for four years. Ordained June 22, 1933 by Bishop Emmit, S. J., D.D. of South Boston, now Victor Apostolic of Jamaica, B. W. I. Taught at Holy Cross College for a year and was the first to introduce Italian courses there. Went to Tertian- ship at Pompert Center, Conn., so as to complete his studies in the Jesuit Order and took his profession in that order. Father Muollo is the founder of Italian American Mission Band of New England. He served for six years in Jamaica, B. W. I. Missions under Bishop Emmit. On Jan. 21, 1905 he entered the Boston Fire Dept. under civil service examination, being the first Italian American actively engaged in that field in Boston. Married William A. Murray of Milford, Sept. 21, 1914, a graduate of Boston University School of Law, now special justice of Milford District. Court and former member of Mass. Legislation. Special justice third district court of Southern Worcester at Milford and Holden. Town solici- tor of Milford since 1932. Children: William A. Jr., born July 3, 1915, graduate of Milford High, Dartmouth College, 1936, B.A., Harvard Uni- versity Law School, 1940, L.L.B., is associated with his father in the practice of law, married to Carlotta Cenedella of Milford, a graduate of St. Elizabeth College. Mrs. Murray is a former Democratic nomination candidate for Secretary of State; Vice-chairman of Democratic State and Town Committees; Delegate to last five Demo- cratic National Conventions; Trustee of Wrentham State School appointed by Governor Ely and reappointed by Governor Curley, serving many years as secretary; first and only woman member of the Milford School Com- inittee.
