Was for several years instructor of design in New York. In the service of Kayson Sportwear Co. Partner and general manager of Napack Mfg. Co. of Boston since 1935. Outstanding as designer in ladies wear; in apparel industry for over 20 years. Married Gertrude Coughlin of Boston, June 17, 1930. Children: Francis, Jr., Rosemarie and Robert John. Member: Boston Designers Guild since 1931 and president since 1938. Father, born in Mineo, Italy, came to America in 1905 settling in Boston. Engaged in the tailoring business for 35 years. Educated in the elementary and secondary schools in Italy. Came to U. S. in 1906 settling in Boston. In business since 1914. Active in civic and political affairs of Everett. Was Welfare Commissioner for four years and on Board of Assessors for two years. Founder of St. Anthony's Parish of Everett, where he is chairman of Board of Trustees. Also founded the Italian American Citizens Instructive Club and has aided hundreds of his countrymen to become useful citizens of our country. Mem- ber of Elks, Chief Ranger in Foresters of America and past venerable Order Sons of Italy Lodge. Sponsor of every worthy cause. Married Eleonora Rossi of his native town May 15, 1903. Children: Rudolph, master of trans- portation at Boston Navy Yard; Mrs. Mary Mucci; Waldo, school teacher; Elia, former public school teacher, married to James D'Angelo; Victor, is associated with his father; Mrs. Hortense Fitzgerald; and William, op- tometrist. Mr. Dragone's father visited U. S. in 1887 and in 1900, died in Italy. Children: Antonio; Mrs. Mary Capozzi; Mrs. Aurora D'Amelio; Gio- vanni; Maria-Grazia; and Tresina.
