Army; and Delfina, a graduate of Technical High School, married to Francis Nai of Springfield. Mr. Barone is a prominent bowler, and a former band musician. His father came to America in 1882. Had following children: Mrs. Angela Maria Sanita, Mrs. Antonetta Caruso and Michael, connected with his brother Nicola in business, married to Marianna Rossi Borghesani. BARSANTI, UMBERTO-Restauranteur. Born Borgo a Mozzano, Lucca, Italy, March 4, 1897. Son of Joseph Barsanti and Anna Lotti. Came to America in 1913 settling in Marlboro. Attended the Northeastern Uni- versity School of Business Administration. Established the famous Bar- santi Restaurant, 14 Otis St., Boston, in 1927 and has since been engaged in that field. Married Daisy A. Steer of Marlboro, Aug. 1, 1922. Children: Umberto Jr., U. S. Army Air Force; Fernando; Benito; Margherita. Mr. Barsanti served during World War I in the U. S. Army. Member: American Legion. Fond of travelling, golf and music. His father came to America in 1884 settled in Boston in 1888, was salesman for over 50 years. Res .: 29 Sheffield Rd., Wakefield.

Chil- dren: Daniel, Jr., George and John. Active in civic and political affairs. Fond of football, (former manager of his jr, high school basketball team). Noted for hunting and fishing activities. Came to America in 1920 settling in Lawrence. Graduated from Lawrence High School in 1931 with high honors. In the service of Eagle-Tribune since 1932. Married Mary Conte of Lawrence, June 16, 1940, (a graduate of Lawrence High). One daughter, Joyce Marie, born Sept. 29, 1943. Member: Order Sons of Italy in America, etc. Has a brother, Salvatore. Came to America in 1909 settling in Pittsfield. In business since 1920. Proprietor of Barzottini Market of 1224 East St., Pittsfield. Married Iolanda Tesa of Pittsfield, Sept. 5, 1937. Children: Edward and Henry. Member: Order Sons of Italy in America, Eagles, Elks and Lakewood Club. Fond of baseball, bocce, hunting and fishing. A former musician plays mandolin, guitar and banjo. His father came to America in 1903 settling in Pittsfield where he worked for G. E. Co., for 40 years. Had following children: Paris, Dante, Amerigo, Oliviero and Annita.
