DI IORIO, FREDERICK-Physician. Born Utica, N. Y. July 4, 1911. Son of Vito Di Iorio and Bernardina Pescatore. Graduated: St. Johns Mili- tary School, Manlius, N. Y. 1928; St. Johns University, Brooklyn, N. Y., 1932, A.B. University of Kansas School of Medicine, 1940, M.D. Interne at Buffalo Memorial and at J. Adams Memorial Hospital of Buffalo, N. Y. In general practice in Somerville since 1941. On staff of Longwood and Allerton Hospitals. Married Dahlia Voltolini, also a physician who spe- cializes in anesthesia, March 28, 1933. Children: Frederick, Jr. and Philip. Dr. Di Iorio is a former Captain of his high school football team and Inter- collegiate Boxing champion of New York State. His father was born in Caserta, Italy. His mother, a native of Gaeta, Italy. They came to America in 1890 settling in Utica, N. Y. Parents of following five children: Linda, Mary, Benjamin (a physician practicing in Utica, N. Y. Lived in South America for six years, later served in Italian Army. Came to U. S. in 1911 settling in Uxbridge. In the service of Ux- bridge Worsted Co., since 1923. Married late Filomena Valente, Oct. 15, 1914. Children: John, a graduate of high school and of Holy Cross College in 1941, is in U. S. Army Medical Corps; Woodie Thomas, attended high school, is in U. S. Army; Frank Henry, a graduate of high school, is in U. S. Navy. Married second time Luisa Cipolla July 27, 1940 widow of late Antonio Dell'Orco of Providence. One daughter-Elia (Dell'Orco) who is student at St. Mary's Academy of Milford.
