His father was born in S. Angelo Allesca, Avellino, Italy. Came to U. S. in 1895, settling in Boston as car- penter. CARPINTERI, PAUL-Plaster Contractor. Born Canicattini, Bagni, Sir- acusa, Italy, Nov. 15, 1902. Son of Giuseppe Carpinteri and Filomena Cir- inna. Educated in the public schools in Italy. Came to U. S. in 1920, settling in Hartford, Conn., later in Medford. In business since 1921. Out- standing in the field of stucco work and plastering of all kinds. Married Sebastiana Rubera of his native town, Oct. 12, 1932. Children: Filomena Connie, born Dec. 7, 1935; and Joseph, born May 25, 1937. Member and former president, Canicattini Bagni Society of Medford. Fond of hunting, fishing, travel, and grand opera. His father visited America in 1908 for a year, now in Italy. Has the following children: Paul; Concettina, married to Vincenzo Ferrante (a tonsorialist in Medford); Vincenzina, married to Salvatore Frank; Sebastiano; Annetta, married to Salvatore Uccello; and Salvatore, aviation pilot World War II, killed in action in Italy. CARPINTERI, SALVATORE-Born Canicattini Bagni, Siracusa, Italy, Nov. 13, 1894. Son of Sebastiano Carpinteri and Giuseppa Motta. Edu- cated in the public schools in Italy, where he learned stone mason trade under his father. Came to U. S. in 1914. Volunteered in the Italian Army World War I, as sergeant and took part in many battles, was wounded, awarded the arditi medal for bravery. Following his return to U. S. in 1919, he settled in Boston, where he has since been engaged in general construction work. Married Giuseppina Gisimondo of Boston, May 25, 1925. Children: Josephine A., is graduate of South Boston High; Marie Rita, Theresa Ida, and Sebastiano S. Jr., are students. Member: Sons of Canicattini Bagni Society; Luigi Capuano Society, (financial secretary) North End Citizens Club (past president for six years); Italian Disabled Veterans; and American Relief for Italy Inc. Active in civic and political affairs. His father, an outstanding stone mason, supervised many impor-

CARRIUOLO, ANTHONY JOSEPH-Born Brockton, March 18, 1902. Son of Domenic Carriuolo and Rosaria Sgroi. Graduated from Brockton High in 1919 and Tufts College Dental School in 1923, D. M. D., cum laude. In general practice in Brockton since 1923. Married Concetta Oriolo of Dor- chester, Feb. 22, 1936. Children: Marietta Louise, born Sept. 20, 1938, and Janet, born Jan. 18, 1940. Member of the national state and local Dental associations; M.C.O.F., and K. of C. On dental staff of Jamaica Plain Home for Italian children. Fond of gardening, travel and music. While in High School he was member of orchestra and glee club. His father was born in Cassano Ionio, Cosenza, Italy. Came to America in 1885 was among the pioneer Italian settlers of Brockton.
