SCIRE, SALVATORE-Architectural art worker. Born Scordia, Catania, Italy, April 12, 1876. Son of Francesco Scire and Mariannina DiBlasi. Attended public schools of his native town, where he learned wrought iron works. Came to U. S. in 1906, settling in Everett, later in East Boston and since 1920 in Medford. Since his arrival to U. S. he has engaged in ornamental art work. Considered most outstanding in that field. Married late Ignazia Scaro in 1903. Children: Francis Richard, graduate Mechanic Arts High, Fisher's Business College, and attended Northeastern Univer- sity School of Business Administration, is a salesman; Marion, is dress designer, married to Louis Savini of New York; Joseph, attended East Boston High; and Louis, graduate of Mechanic Arts High is electrician, served in U. S. Navy. Mr. Scire married again to Carmela Sharrillo in 1930. Hobby is creating novelties in artistic designs. Also fond of travel and grand opera. His father, a locomotive engineer in Italy, was a descendant of French nobility, which family passed on to Sicily, Italy, in the middle ages. Had following children: Rocco, Grazia, Salvatore, Giu- seppe, Carmelo and Sebastino. Res .: 21 Newburn Ave., Medford.


SCIRE, THERESA DORIS (Mrs.)-Born Boston, Sept. 16, 1906. Daugh- ter of Patrick Pisello and Maria Iebba. Education: East Boston High school and Mansfield Academy of Beauty Culture. Also studied nursing. Proprietor of Theresa Beauty Salon. Married to Francis Richard Scire of Medford in 1929. One son, Richard Francis, born March 29, 1931, honor student at Boston College High. Mrs. Scire is vice president of the American Relief for Italy, Mass. Division, which she helped to organize with Mrs. Gina Langone. Fond of travel, art, reading, needlecraft and music. Her father was born in Avellino, Italy. Came to U. S. in 1888, settling in Boston, as photographer, tailor and musician. Had following children: Carolina, Theresa, Doris, George, Ernest, and Carmen. Member of Independent Order of Sons of Italy and K. of C. Fond of baseball, hockey and golf. His father was born at Sciacca, Agrigenti, Italy. Came to America in 1911, settling in Boston.
