BURNETT, AMIL. Born Corfinio, Aquila, Italy, April 27, 1877. Son of Pasquale Burnett (originally DiScipio) and Carolina Mascitti. Educated in public schools and under private tutors in his native town. Came to America in 1891, lived in New York and Revere. Settled in Lynn in 1906. Among the first Italians to enter barber business in Revere and Lynn. Also engaged in restaurant, billiards, and real estate business. A staunch dem- ocrat, has gladly devoted his efforts in helping his countrymen to become American citizens, now president of Lynn Italian American Citizen's Club. Married Theresa Foley of Lynn in 1909. Children: Walter R., business- man, employed with G. E. Co., and Milton, graduate of Lynn Classical High School, aviator who flew with Polando, employed with G. E. Mr. Burnett has a brother, Settimo, in Boston. His other brother, the late Michele DiScipio was a general in Italian Army, won great distinction, highly decorated during World War I. He is among the first Italian American in Mass. to set trap fishing at Yarmouthport, Cape Cod in 1918, in West Dennis in 1919 and Harwich in 1921. He also built a number of fishing boats. His father also a fisherman, came to America in 1889 settling in Boston. In 1911 Mr. Busalacchi married Josephine Busalacchi of Newark, Wisconsin. They have five children: Mrs. Adeline Frongillo; Frank, who is associated with his father in the business; Helen, Julia, a secretary with U. S. Navy Dept. in Washington, D. Special courses at Clark University and at Boston University. Also courses in astronomy. Teacher in Worcester public schools since 1941. Formerly teacher in the town of Shrewsbury. CAGGIULA, DANIELE-Born Melpignano, Lecce, Italy, Sept. 15, 1883. Son of Vincenzo Caggiula and Maddalena De Donno. Learned tailoring in Naples, where he was awarded diploma from Caggiula Tailoring firm of the Casa Reale and of the Casa Ducale D'Aosta of Naples. Specializing in cutting and in men's tailoring. Came to U. S. in 1902 settling in Boston. Worked for L. P. Hollander for seven years. In business since 1916. Married Serafina Cuneo Dec. 5, 1905, her father Louis settled in U. S. in 1863. Children: Vincent, graduate Boston University, is Major in U. S. Army; Emma, bookkeeper for her father; Hilda, married to Dr. Fred Fumia; Rita; Daniel Jr., and Dorothy.
