Specializes in chamber music and literature for it. PosÄ—sses one of the largest collection of chamber music. Collecting ma- terial for a book on chamber music for mixed instruments. Organized in 1931 the Boston Chamber Music Society. Formerly on clarinettist staff. of NBC Boston studios. Designer and manufacturer of a completely new system of mechanism for clarinets. In 1943 he designed and made a bass clarinet, having a greater range than any other in the world, made espec- ially for a performance of Ghostakovitch seventh symphony. In the service of Springfield Trade School since 1934, being the first woman teacher appointed in the Trade School. Member: Mass. Vocational Assoc., National Vocational Assoc., Springfield Educa- tional Assoc., Teachers Club, Women's Italian Club, and Foresters of America. Fond of sports, travelling and classical music. Her father was born in Besnate, Milano, Italy. Came to America in 1904, settling in Boston. Had the following children: Louise Josephine, Felicita, and Carlo Bruno, a pilot in the U. S. Air Corps.
