Director, board of health school dental clinic; former superintendent of dental dept., of Worcester State Hospital; former member, board of registration of voters and board of trustees in the Textile School. Member: local, state and national dental asso- ciations; Italian Literary Mutual Aid Society; Red Men; and former grand knight K. of C. Hobby-National prize contests. Active in civic and po- litical affairs. His father was born in Filattiera, Massa e Carrara, Italy. Came to America in 1870 was among the pioneer Italian settlers of New Bedford, where he engaged in fruit and produce business. FIORAVANTI, ALDO-Proprietor, Peruzzi Jewel Shop. "Thoughts made into Jewels," 252 Boylston St., Boston. Born in Arlington, March 18, 1924. Son of Louis Fioravanti and Rosina Ercolani. Graduated from Arlington High School. Mr. Fioravanti is successor to Gino Peruzzi, founder of the original Peruzzi Jewel Shop, established in Boston in 1915, known from coast to coast. Was the first to establish in Massachusetts, the Florentine Style Jewelry, which he originated at Ponte Vecchio of Florence in 1880. Mr. Fioravanti learned the art of jewelry under Mr. and Mrs. Peruzzi. His parents, born in the vicinity of Rome, Italy, were prominent for number of years, in the field of women dress designers in Boston. Had following children: Luca, Aldo and Agnes.
