On Dec. 22, 1918 he married Filomena Elena DeLisio, a native of Castellino, Campo- basso, Italy, whose father, Carlo DeLisio was postmaster in Italy. MAININI, ANGELO (late)-Born Vanzaghello, Milano, Italy, June 10, 1849 Came to U. S. in 1874. Was stone-cutter and a business man. Lived in Gloucester, Boston and Holliston, where he died in 1928. His wife Giuseppa Tomasetta was a native of Crena, Milano, Italy. They had nine children of which the following are living: Charles O., born in Boston, June 25, 1882, was educated in the public schools and at Bur- dette College. Became master plumber in Boston (Lic. 2381) where he worked for Lloyd Co. for eight years in charge of all out-town work. In the plumbing business in Framingham since 1914, where he has worked in numerous buildings in Framingham and throughout the state. Is a life member of the Elks. His business is at 41 Kendel St., Framingham; Marble, resides in Milford as hotel proprietor and has three children; Anicetto, who studied in Italy for 12 years is a graduate of Boston Uni- versity School of Law, is an attorney in Framingham and veteran of World War I.

Formerly a granite cutter and representative of Salmina Wine Co. of California. Also treasurer and manager of Miscoe Spring Water Co. of Mendon. Married Claudina Revolti of Milford, April 27, 1904. Children: Rudolph J., a graduate of Milford High and University of Vermont, is vice-president of Miscoe Spring Water Co .; Florence, a graduate of Mil- ford High and New Rochelle College of New York is a former Milford High School teacher, married to George F. Pyne; Irene, a graduate of Milford High and St. Regis College, is a former Milford High school teacher, married to Bradford Anger. Mr. Mainini is among the pioneer Italian settlers in Milford and has always taken deep interest in the welfare of his community. Member of Elks, Chamber of Commerce, Ro- tary Club, and director of Milford Federal and Saving Association. His father came to America in 1879, was a granite cutter who settled with his family in Milford in 1894. MALATESTA, FREDERICK-Proprietor, F. Malatesta, wholesale im- porter and exporter groceries, 104 Richmond St., Boston. Born Cicagna, Genoa, Italy, June 7, 1882. Son of Louis Malatesta and Mary Cavagnara. Educated in the public schools of his native town. Came to U. S. in 1893, settling in Boston. In business since 1905. Married Cecilia Gar- della of Boston in 1912. Children: Thelma, a bookkeeper for her father, is married to Alfred Cieri; Madeline, also a bookkeeper, is married to William Papey; Frederick, associated with his father in business, is Veteran of U. S. Army, World War II; and Laury is also Veteran of World War II. All of the children are graduates of Revere High School. Mr. Malatesta is member of the Elks and fond of travel and music. His father, a prominent importer and exporter in the Balkan states for 40 years died in Boston. Had the following children: Aurelia, Nora, Frederick, Linda and Palmira. MALATESTA, JOSEPH LOUIS-Manager, Haymarket Wine Co., 133 Hanover St., Boston. Born Boston, June 21, 1907. Son of Joseph Mala- testa and Rose Carcioffo. Educated in the public schools and at Bryant and Stratton's Commercial School. Partner in the Haymarket Wine Co., since 1939, being one of the most modern liquor business houses in the city. Mr. Malatesta was formerly a musician for 15 years, playing trum- pet and piano-accordion in various orchestras throughout the state. Mar- ried Elvira Lavezzo of East Boston, Feb. 28, 1933. Two children: Robert Stone, born Oct. 18, 1934, and Donald, born Sept. 3, 1936. His father was born in Italy. Came to U. S. in early 1900, settling in Boston. Had the following children: Joseph Louis; Norina, graduate of Boston Uni- versity School of Business Administration; Isadore, owner of Malatesta Restaurant; Evelyn; Thelma, married to Attorney Frank Bonzagni of Boston (ensign U. S. Navy) ; Josephine; and Richard (phi beta kappa, at Bates College) is student at Harvard Law School. Res .: 14 Mt. Vernon St., Arlington.
