Education: University of Naples and University of Portici, also of Naples, specializing in raising silk worms for research work and for study of various sicknesses. Veteran Italian Army, World War I, as Lt. in the artillery; awarded Croix de Guerre and bronze medal. Came to U. S. in 1922, settling in Revere. In the Insurance field since 1928. Married Rose DiTullio of Mattapan, April 24, 1927. Children: Joan Frances, born Nov. 16, 1929 and Diana Martha, born Feb. 16, 1932. Member and grand council in the Indepen- dent Order Sons of Italy. Fond of baseball, gardening, travel, art and grand opera. Has two brothers: Joseph, of Hyde Park, and Edward of Milano, Italy. Also a sister Maria (Avocatino) of Milano, Italy. A beautician and served on board of census for city of Everett. Children: Edmund, graduate Everett High and of Boston College High, is veteran U. S. Navy submarine service in Pacific, two battle stars, married to Ann DiFrancesco of Everett; Theresa, married to Domenic Iozza; and Nicholas Jr., is veteran U. S. Navy; all graduates of Everett High school. Active in civic and political affairs. Fond of baseball, boxing and hockey. Has travelled extensively here and abroad. His father came to U.
