Studied music under Giuseppe Cappi of the Metropoli- tan Opera Co. and others. Leader of his own orchestra since 1930, now playing at Renaissance Room of Hotel Touraine in Boston under the name
of Pat Sands Orchestra. Considered one of the finest in the Bay State. Mr. La Selva is a descendant of a long line of musicians and is author of an overture dedicated to General Diaz and a suite called "Four Years" depicting the life of Roosevelt. (Luciano) ; Salvatore, with. his father in the shoe business; and Mary (Boncordo). Mr. Lauricella grad- uated from the American School of Practipedico in 1922. LAURINO, ANGELO-Proprietor of Laurino Bros., manufacturer of men's trousers. Born Riesi, Caltanisetta, Italy, February. 1904. Son of Joseph Laurino and Maria Di Legami. Came to America in 1912 settling in Boston. Mr. Laurino established his pants industry in 1921. He is the pioneer Italo-American in Boston to enter this field, which is the largest manufacturer of pants in New England. Member of Mass. Clothing Assoc. LAURINO, MARIO ROCCO-Merchant Tailor. Born Savoia di Lucania, Potenza, Italy, March 10, 1886. Son of Felice Laurino and Teresa Petrullo. Educated in the public schools, of his native town, where he also learned the trade as tailor. Came to America in 1903. Lived in New York for three years, where he perfected himself as merchant tailor. Moved to Boston in 1906, where he worked for Scott & Co. Proprietor of his tailoring business at 115 Maverick St., East Boston since 1923. Married Grace Femino at East Boston, Feb. 22, 1917. Mr. Laurino visited Italy in 1927. He is fond of outdoor life and lover of music. Res .: 117 Maverick St., East Boston.

La VORGNA, LORENZO-General Contractor. Born San Lorenzello, Benevento, Italy, Aug. 12, 1878. Son of Joseph La Vorgna and Maria Michelle Lonardi. Came to America in 1889 settling in New Haven, where he engaged in masonry work at Yale University. Settled in Hyde Park, Mass. in 1902, where he has since been engaged in general carpentry, masonry, building and remodeling homes. Was the first Italo-American to enter said field in Hyde Park. Married the late Angiolina Festa in 1904. Children: Rose; Immacolata (teacher); Elvira; Paul (architect); Joseph (U. S. Army); Lawrence (U. S. Army in Africa) and Henry. All of the sons are engaged with their father in the contracting business. Mr. La Vorgna married second time to Maria Izzo of Long Island, N. Y. He is fond of hunting, travel, art, history, and music. Active in civic and social affairs. Res .: 6 Adams St., Hyde Park.
