In the service of Bond Clothing Co. since 1923, the first Italo-American employee in the Co. in Boston. Married Lorraine King of Medford, June 27, 1926. One daughter, Barbara, born Dec. 29, 1927. Member: K. C., and B.P. O.E. Fond of football, baseball and hockey. Father born in Lucosano, Avellino, Italy. Came to U. S. in 1884, being the first Italo American settler of Medford and proprietor of the Venuti Bros. Barber Shop in Boston for over 50 years. Res .: 94 College Ave., Medford.


VENUTI, VITO-Manager Broadway Taxi of Everett. Born Olivadi Catanzaro, Italy, Nov. 26, 1912. Son of Antonio Venuti and Angela Regillo. Attended public schools in Italy. Came to U. S. in 1932 settling in Boston. In taxi business since 1946. Formerly furniture maker. Married Josephine Messiano of East Boston, Feb. 16, 1935. Children: Anthony and Vito, Jr. Fond of travel, hunting and music. His father came to U. S. in 1896 settling in Boston, as baker. Has following children: Vito and Charles. VERCOLLONE, STEPHENS - Manager South Boston Market. Born Cigliano, Novara, Italy, Dec. 15, 1884. Son of Bernardo and Maria Crapa (Vercollano) brought to U. S. in 1891, settling in Wareham. Educated in the New Bedford public schools. With the South Boston Market since 1934. Formerly proprietor of his own market at Davis Sq., Somerville, for number of years. Married Theresa Vena of Boston, April 19, 1911. Chil- dren: Edmund, connected with Hood Rubber Co., Richard, connected with Davis Duplicating Machines Co .; Eugene, manager Wallaston Supreme Market and Roy, a graduate Mt. St. Mary's College of Maryland, is Lt. in U. S. Naval Reserve in the Pacific. All are graduates of Somerville High school. Mr. Vercollone is member of the K. of C. Active in civic affairs.

Graduated from Framingham High school. Associated with his mother in the Verdelli Market business since 1918. Member of Cristoforo Colombo Society. Active in civic affairs. Fond of baseball, bowling, horsebackriding, travel and classical music. Mr. Verdelli's father came to U. S. in 1913, lived in Wellesley and in Framing- ham, was a travelling merchant, died June 29, 1935.
