His sister Silvia is married to Ralph Chiacchio, proprietor of the Genoa Fisheries, Inc., at Boston Fish Pier.

Attended public school in his native town and learned sculpture. Veteran Italian Army World War I, and fought at Mt. Grappa, Mt. Fiore, Valla Brenta, etc. Came to U. S. in 1921. Lived in Bristol, Penn. In Boston since 1925. In the service of Martignetti Grocery Co., Inc., of Boston since 1943. Mr. Maggio is active in civic affairs, fond of all sports, lover of art, travel, music and photography. His father came to U. S. in 1920, lived in Penn. Died in Boston in 1926. Had the following children: Matteo, veteran Italian Army World War I; Vita, married to Giovanni Schepis; Andrea; Maria, married to Antonio Tranotti; and Antonio. Res .: 12 Emmons St., E. Boston.


MAGGIO, GIUSEPPE-Born Salemi, Trapani. Italy, Feb. 4, 1904. Son of Paolo Maggio and Gerolama Ansaldi. Educated in the Public Schools in Italy. Came to U. S. in 1921, setlling in Winchester. Engaged in the baking field since 1938. Married Margaret Provinzano of Winchester, Sept. 4, 1926. One daughter Geraldine Virginia, born April 13, 1929, student of Winchester High. Mr. Maggio is member and secretary of Christopher Columbus Club since 1939. Member of Christopher Columbus Society, where he has been president for two years and secretary for nine years. Active in civic and political affairs and takes deep interest in the welfare of his people and community. His father who visited U. S. in 1907, 1912, and 1914. Had the following children: Giuseppe, Salvatore, Mrs. Antonina Dora, and Antonino, Veteran World War II in Italy. Res .: 37 Florence St., Winchester.


MAGGIO, PETER VINCENT-Attorney and Counsellor at Law. Born in Armento, Potenza, Italy, Sept. 17, 1890. Son of Francesco Maggio and Maria Baiona. Came to America in 1901, settling in Boston. Educated in the Boston and Cambridge Elementary and High Schools. Graduated from Suffolk University School of Law in 1918, L.L.B. In general practice in Everett since 1918. Married late Anna Maria Martino in 1910. Chil- dren: Francis L., engaged in real estate and insurance; Philip V., mem- ber of Everett Fire Dept .; Isabelle, married to Dante Floccheri and Peter V., Jr., student. Member and former Venerable of Everett Lodge Order Sons of Italy in America and member of B. P. O. E. Fond of boxing, baseball and football. Hobby - gardening. Office: 427a Broadway, Everett. Children: Joseph F., graduate Col- lege of the Holy Cross and Harvard Graduate School of Business Adm'tion, is Lt. in U. S. Army Air Force; Ruth Marie, graduate Dedham High, is attending Boston University; Paul David, student. Member Mass. Society of Certified American Institute of Accounting; National Ass'n of Cost Accountants; Boston City Club, etc. His father was born Meda, Milan, Italy. Came to U. S. in the early 80's, settling in Boston, as hotel chef. Had the following children: Peter J .; Elizabeth, public school teacher; and Joseph V., automobile dealer.
