DE PASQUA, ANDREW-Insurance Representative. Born Tufo, Avel- lino, Italy, April 12, 1900. Son of John De Pasqua and Carmela Molinaro. Came to America in 1904 settling in Brockton, where he attended public schools. In the service of Boston Mutual Life Insurance Co. since 1932, Assistant Supt. for nine years. In 1940 he led the entire Co. in the number of sales. Formerly with George E. Keith Shoe Co., for ten years. In his younger days he directed his dancing school for ten years, was con- sidered the finest ballroom dancer in the state, and won numerous prizes throughout New England. Married Isabel Valentine of Brockton, Feb. 15, 1924, a graduate of High School. Children: Philip, a graduate of Brockton High; Isabel, a graduate of Brockton High; Andrew, Jr., and David are students. Mr. De Pasqua's father came to America in 1898 settling in Brockton, later made three trips to Italy. Graduated: Milford High; Boston University Law School in 1915, LL.B. and Boston School of Anatomy and Embalming in 1918. Served in U. S. Army, World War I, in quartermaster corps. In business since 1919, possessing one of the finest Italo-American funeral chapels in New England, located on the historical Main St., rich in the associations and traditions of New England. Married the late Marguerite M. Bush of Milford in 1924. One son, Joseph W., student at Academy of the Assumption in Wellesley. Member: American Legion; Italian American World War veteran and charter member, Order Sons of Italy. Mr. De Pas- quale, pioneered the founding of Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in 1937. On Oct. 14, 1940 he acquired the birthplace of Horace Mann, the founder of the Public School system in America, at Franklin, Mass., consisting of a beautiful seven room home amidst 30 acres estate, destined to become a shrine to perpetuate the memory of the great educator. Active in civic, social and political affairs, and sponsor of every worthy cause. His father was born in San Marco La Catola, Foggia, Italy. Came to America in the early 80's. Lived in Providence, later in Milford, where he established the first Italian American funeral parlor. Was one of Milford's most outstand- ing citizens and a philanthropist. Took over his father's bakery business in 1941. Mr. De Pasquale is considered among the most outstanding Pizza makers in the Bay State and has introduced many artistic novelties in said field. Came to America in 1901 settling in New Bedford. In the service of Giusti Baking Co. since 1940. Formerly in the wholesale fruit and produce business. Married Giulia Simi of New Bedford, June 2, 1913. Children: Robert, married to Alice Blais; Evelyn, is a graduate of New Bedford High; Arthur, attended New Bedford Vocational School, is in U. S. A. Army in the Pacific; Irene, is married to Ernest Richmond; Louis, attended Vocational School, is in U. S. Army in Germany; Reynolds, is in U. S. Army; and Joseph, is a student. Mr. De Prato is member of Italian Literary and Mutual Aid Society. Fond of bocce, hunting, and travel. Is a former band musician. DE RENSIS, PARDO-Investment Broker and Foreign Exchange Dealer. Born Bonefro, Campobasso, Italy, March 18, 1896. Son of Carlo De Rensis and Maria Nicola Lupo. Education: Technical School of Campobasso; grad- uated as an accountant from Royal Technical Institute of Terramo in 1914; Superior School of Commerce in Rome, 1919-1921. During World War I he served in the Italian Army as an officer. Was the commander of the 358th field battery on the Piave, 1916-18. Wounded. Awarded bronze medal and war cross for bravery. With Credito Italiano in Rome as chief clerk, bond department, 1919-23. Came to America in 1923. With Credito Italiano of New York, 1923-24; Banca Commerciale Italiana Trust Co. of New York, 1925-29; Banca Commerciale Italiana Trust Co., Boston, 1929-38 (assistant vice-president, 1929-33, treasurer, 1933-38). Member of Italian Chamber of Commerce of Mass .; Author: "La Fiamma Invisible" 1938; short stories, essays, poems. Active in every worthy cause. Married Tatiana Ceswawa Bramorska in 1930.
