In busi- ness since 1932. Married Annette P. Accettullo, July 8, 1934. Member of Italian American New Deal Club. Fond of baseball, hunting, fishing, travel- ing and music. His father was born in Monte Apierto, Avellino, Italy. Came to America in 1900 settling in Boston. DELLA PORTA, REV. RAYMOND-Pastor, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Milford, Born Trento, Udine, Italy, Feb. 13, 1883. Son of Barto- lomeo Della Porta and Rosa Montel. Educated at Verona Seminary. Or- dained Feb. 23, 1907 by Cardinal Bartolomeo Bacigliere at Verona Cathedral. Was stationed at Pistoia, where he received his diploma in music. In America since 1913. Curate and organist in Springfield, Mass., for ten years. Later established the Sacred Heart Church and Rectory in Waltham. Was pastor in Milford for six years. He then went to Our Lady of Mt. Car- mel Church in White Plains, and directed the same house. Director of St. Anne's Church of West Springfield for eight years. Recalled to Milford, Mass. in 1943. Pastor Della Porta is also an outstanding organist, critic, and composer./ Has a brother Rev. Paolo, in Trento, Italy. Another brother, the late Rev. Formerly physical instructor and coach at Malden High School, assistant coach at Boston Col- lege and Dartmouth. Was member of his high school and college varsity athletic teams. Chosen all scholastic football teams 1928, and 1929, being selected Capt. of all Italian-All American football teams of the U. S. At Everett High he was Capt. of baseball, football, and basketball. Chosen in his senior year as the most outstanding athlete in Mass. At Fordham he distinguished himself in football as an all American player. Had following children: Michael; Joseph (florist, and veteran U. S. Army, World War II); and Annibale of Chiusano, Italy. Dello Russo family originated from Bari, in the middle ages, later moved to Chiusano, among which were eminent prelates, and soldiers, who fought for Italian independence. Founded the Monastery of Brindisi and enriched it with numerous art masterpieces of great value.

Was for four years coach of Eastern A. A. of Lynn, winners of several city championships, later manager of Red and Gray Club. He is also a well known dramatist and takes leading parts in plays. A former candidate for councillor-at-large and CIO delegate to Worcester convention. Was elected to attend the CIO con- vention in Akron, Ohio. Fond of traveling, football, basketball. Was brought to Italy when eight years old, where he attended public schools. Returned to America in 1924 settling in Lawrence where he has since been in business. Married Millie De Luca of Lawrence, March 19, 1924. Children: Samuel, a graduate of Lawrence High School, now in U. S. Army in Italy, and Rudolph, a student. Mr. De Luca is member of St. Alfio's Club. Fond of baseball, hunting, travel and music. Hobby: raising hunting dogs. His father, who served in the Italian Army during World War I, came to America first time in 1905, lived in Chicago, later in Lawrence, where he engaged in textile work.
