In general practice in Boston, since 1922. On staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital of Brighton and of Winthrop Hospital. Health officer in charge of East Boston Health Unit since 1923. Awarded degree of Master of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health in 1941. Married K. Paula Hubbard of Bar Harbor, Maine, July 25, 1923. One son, James Joseph Jr., born April 4, 1926. Studied music at New England Conservatory of Music and at Royal Conservatory at Milan, Italy. Studied under private instructors and at Simmons College School of Social Work, specializing in social aspects of legal problems. In the service of Boston Public Welfare Dept. since 1931. Married Maria Fissolo of Boston, July 10, 1920. Children: Francis (Boston College, U. S. Army) ; Michelina (Regis College) ; Peter Jr. and Mary, students. Mr. Siragusa was formerly an outstanding professional musician, toured the U. S. and Canada with eminent orchestras (played oboe). A lover of travelling, art and reading.
